“And so the Critters and Mutes meet again after the last game in which the Critters managed a 1-0 victory and beat up a few dwarfs. (We got matched again second time in a row, was a pleasant surprise!)

The Mutes had 3 journeyman playing after the brutal injuries they sustained in the first game while the Critters had a goblin filling in for a Skaven lineman. It was obvious that word of the brutality of the first match had got out and as such thousands of Mutes fans crammed into the stadium massively outnumbering the Critters support and hoping to see some blood.

The teams set up, the Critters receiving and suddenly the Mutes fans, who had worked themselves up into such a bloodlust, poured onto the pitch and knocked over 5 Critters players including most of the rats and those on the LOS but in the confusion they also knocked over 3 Mutes players!

In the confusion the ball had been bounced out and it was thrown to Skrat Hackflay who had managed to stay upright on the far side of the pitch. He and a few goblins suddenly realised they could make a break for it and they did and they managed a quick score.

The Ref for this game had been changed and as opposed to the ref from the first game punished everything he could except for when the Mutes coach managed to use his silver tongue, and silver coins, to stop him.

The dwarfs set up traditionally and pushed forward as the Critters surrounded them and swarmed the ball. The ball was knocked free and Kwikk only needed to pick up and he was home free but he failed and the ball went back into the scrum until eventually after a push on the ball it bounced up and into the hands of Chane who was heavily marked but still managed to grab it before running off to score.

Half time 1-1

Second half the dwarfs set up and pushed again and the rats managed to get in behind and split the defence until an opening appeared and they managed to get the ball and run in and score. By this point the Critters were suffering a lot of injuries including a blitzer and the a thrower.

The Chaos dwarfs were desperate for an equaliser and so managed to cage up and push down the center. The rats did as they did before and managed to divide the cage up until some blocking, a dodge and a hand off to the Bull (was a great play) resulted in Chane once again running off to score.

The Critters panicked and tried to get people back. Angry about how his team would lose a victory at the last moment the troll tore teh dwarf, Gordon Freeman, apart as the Mutes coach looked on with his head in his hands "I told you to kill the troll!" he screamed.

Chane, with a smug look on his face, and wanting to make up for his shoddy performance in the first game, skipped towards the endzone but his sure feet were again proved to be useless as he tripped in the endzone and the ball fell next to him.

No one else could reach the ball and the Mutes fans were screaming for the Bull to get up and score but he was too dazed by the fall to do anything and so the full time whistle went and the Critters secured another victory over the Mutes.

A beautiful rivalry has been born!
