“It was Wotfudboy that chose to receive... thinking he could take advantage of the mere 8 elves that lined up against him... however, after a series of handling errors, the Hoof team presented teh Fleet team with a perfect scoring opportunity, which the very agile Trische completed with ease.

After that sharp lesson, coach Wotfudboy played a much more measured game... and managed to equalise with a not-totpretty-but-effective drive.

However, the 2nd half was fruitless, despite coach Bolas being reduced to 7 players at most as the sole Witch Elf dodged and fell badly. It wasn't long before Sepia died to a cruel low punch (from a dwarf remember!!) from Drax.

Into the overtime period the Chaos Dwarf coach pressed his advantage of numbers, but was unable to get past the Dark Elf armour. Scoring in the 6th turn both coaches thought it was sudden death... however, the game continued to both gasps and slapping of foreheads from crowd and coach alike.

However, despite some enterprising elfish play, the Hoof team held on... well, their Hob Goblin fell over with the ball in the Fleet end zone at one point!... Bolas on 67% luck, and Wotfudboy on 60% should have been much more like 80% and 40% at some stages... but it was a good if tense game!”
