The Dolphins bought a wizard and got a pit trap as dirty trick. Both would prove crucial. The elves won the toin coss and decided to receive. They managed to stall a little before scoring in turn 5. In turn 7 we threw the fireball, hitting the ballcarrier. A Khorne warrior caught the ball, but he got blitzed and lost it. Isilvar caught the ball, but lost it the next turn. In turn 8 we pulled off some elven magic, recovered the ball that was lying on the pitch, passed it and scored: 2-0 at halftime. Things looked very well indeed, although the Dolphins only had 8 players left by now.
By turn 3 of the second half, the elves were down to 6 players when Nuffle intervened. A Khorne warrior rerolled a double both down into double skulls, offering a relatively easy 2d blitz on the ball. 4d were not enough, but we still had the pit trap! Cornucopio lost the ball and Caoran managed to catch the scatter. Next turn, by not following up, Atila denied Genocider a 1d blitz on the ball. Next turn, Caoran slipped through and launched the ball towards the oppozing endzone. It took Khorne too long to recover from that situation. In turn 8 they managed to score the 2-1, but the win had been secured by then.
Thank you for the entertaining game, Arturidas! ”
