“The Wrestlers came up against Nurgle. For the first time we had a kicking Ogre who bolstered the ogre numbers to 7!
The match started with powerful hits on either side. Kendo picked up the ball and Haystacks killed the merc rotter! Les and Munter were so impressed they stood dumbfounded. In response superstar Jim Breaks was somehow ko'd (with a 1db) by a rookie rotter! A bad trade. But when Haystacks ko'd that rotter and then Tom Thumb ko'd the Beast of Nurgle with a gang foul it seemed we could advance ok. Then a moment later Haystacks needed apo help when a Nurgle Warrior clawed him! 2 Ogres out so early spelled trouble, but we made our way up the flank. The Nurgle side blocked the way, so Bulldog blitzed to create a narrow space. It was down to legend snot LLL to take a handoff from Kendo. 3+ with one disturbing presence, but he snaked it! Dropping the scoring chance. The ball went off the pitch and was hurled across where a Beastman could scoop it up. Klaus the claw warrior then added Bulldog to his victims, giving him a niggling injury! From then we were in dire straights and they scored by half-time.
Second half we huffed and puffed but with snots taken out we couldn't pressure enough and eventually went 2-0 down. A few moments left but Lucan's pass efforts went astray.
A tough one, though Haystacks shows some increased speed after the match.
