“A big crowd saw the defending champions Zen Adepts take on newly promoted upstarts the Blue Mountain Dragons in a very tactical match.
The Dragons employed a surrounding flanking defence in an effort to contain the big Bulls from the Adepts and in a tight first half kept the Adepts scoreless and in fact nearly came away with the lead against the run of play.
In the second half, a massive maul on the touchline saw the Dragons patiently probe the Adepts flank and finally scored midway through the second half to take the lead. In the process however, the Dragons suffered a number of injuries, the most serious to legendary captain Vladim Oslobahn who injured his knee when pushed into touch and the awaiting Hobgoblin fans.
Out numbered, the Dragons attempted to hold on and when a wizard in a horny hat blasted a congregation of bulls and Chaos Dwarves, the Dragons in fact believed they could steal a second TD and the match. However, when the flames cleared, Brother Mindful still had the ball in hand and managed to break tackles and shifted the point of attack from the left to the right flank. In the process, Lappo Beerdrinker was stomped into the turf and the big Bull Centaur crashed over for the tieing score.
Honours shared, but the Dragons came away with a couple of injury concerns and the result tightens the congestion in the race for the SWL Premiership.

Well played Flo, your team is very strong (as always!). Good luck for the championship!”
