dark spices win the toss and elect to receive. They are very happy with the gate of 83k. The lizzies take their traditional hide-in-the-middle defence. In the backfield for the spices is sage the thrower, and saffron the pass blocking lineman with 5 agility. It's a bad kick but ends up right in the middle anyway. Tarragon runs into the backfield and picks on the poor stunty skink, Incite, stunning him. He wastes a reroll on a trip, and that means tehres no reroll when rosemarry fails to pickup the ball. That's a huge mistake as it leaves a wide open lane for the whole lizard team to charge at the ball, luckily skinkus maximus fails to pick up the ball as well, after, again, the lizard team wastes a reroll on a trip-up. Saffron the famous pass blocker dodges in to pick up the ball but fails again using the teams last reroll to fail twice. The lizards get their first chance to cause some serious pain but only manage to knock a few elves down, puxxy fails to pick up the ball with a reroll. Terragon tries a second time to kill Incite with his mighty blow and stunty advantage, but only manages to push him back. Thyme dodges away from the great tailed lizard and sweeps around to nail puxy in the back, knocking him down and pushing the ball back, lucky bounce puts it right back in the protection of the lizards tho. Salt fails to dodge away to end turn 3 for the spices (the third double-fail of an easy roll in 3 turns for the spice). Skinkus maximus picks up the ball and runs in an easy touchdown.

Beginning of turn 4 for both teams the spices are again lining up to receive the kickoff with their pass blocker and thrower back to carry.
A brilliant coaching roll makes the 2 coaches even at 1 reroll, and the kick is a touchback which the elves run into the backfield and pass to their thrower, who runs further backwards to hide on the end zone. Looks like a passing play.. As we guessed the elves run up the right side of the field caging a receiver and leaving a handoff half way up the field for the next turn. The lizards who have never faced such plays, always goin up against dwarves and chaos teams, are a bit baffled, so they put the prehensial tail on 2 of the hand off targets and a lizard on the other, then pile the rest of their team onto the new cage. The elves skip the hand off and chuck the ball in a long pass all the way down the field. Being elves this isn't as hard as the lizards had hoped, only a 3+ with a pass reroll. Thyme ko's incite to leave only one skink between the ball and the end zone, ginger makes 3 dodges for a relatively easy touchdown. How do you stop that shit?

Beginning of 5th turn for the lizards and 6th for the elves brings the third kickoff of the game. The lizzies waste a reroll on a bad block, then pick up the ball and run it 2 squares past the line of scrimmage, its very badly caged and black pepper has no problems breakin the cage on a dodge roll and taking the ball out of the hands of puxy, but then he fails a go-for-it and falls down. Skinkus maximus fails to pick up the ball, and saffron the elf jumps up and grabs it, then fails to pass it down field. Skinkus finally manages to pick it up, and hands it off to puxy who scores an easy td, it's 2-1 lizards on turn 8 in the first half and the spices are receiving. Tarragon gets a token throw to end the half.

To begin the second half, the spice kick off to the lizards who push their cage up the right side, but then puxy fails to pick up the ball, Thyme sneaks ahead incase a pass is needed, and chilli picks up the ball, then tosses it to thyme. The ball is now almost completely out of reach of the whole lizzy team and 1 turn away from a td. ungy raggy and puxy manage to get close to the ball, then incite falls down to end turn 2 for the lizzards. Thyme slips past the prehensial tail and the 1 additional tackle zone and blitzes thru a skink for a touchdown.

The game is now tied 2-2 in turn 3 of the second half, lizards receiving. Saffron is the only player not on the field as he is still ko'd.
Same play for the lizzards, cept the left side of the field this time instead of the right, The lizards make a hole and run thru it then skinkus fails to pick up the ball again. Luckily tarragon falls down at the beginning of the spice's turn, and skinkus manages to pick it up and run it into the cage. thyme dodges and goes for it and manages to hit a 1 die block to pull the ball away, but in a stroke of great luck, puxy picks it up. tarragon fails a dodge and seriously injures himself, but the apothacary fixxes him right up. Puxy runs it in for an easy score with 2 go for it's out of his 3 and sure feet.

Turn 5 for the spice they receive a kick, the score is 3-2. The lizards get the ref, they may also still benefit from their get out of jail free handicap. Sage picks the ball up with a team reroll and fails to chuck it down field. sage fails a block and falls on his ass. Puxy's sure feet help him score another touchdown.

It's turn 7 for the spice (8 for the lizzies), they have 2 turns to score twice, as the score is 4-2. The lizzards move away from their traditional pile in the middle defence and go with the standard-anti-agile defence (minus the point man as they only have 10 players). The lizies get to re-arrange their d and slant extremely hard onto the expected hole. failed block ends the game for the elves.
