“Well.
Lizards receive, the skinks speed past me and there's nothing I can do. 1-0.
I fail a pickup and the skinks are all over me. 2-0.
I have a one-turn attempt. Blitz comes up, which does nothing, then I fail a pass, but a lino catches it and hands it back to the intended scorer. Who fails the catch and the same lino gets it again! Half time 2-0.
Another Blitz comes up, and a skink gets under the ball. 3-0.
Then I have a pass intercepted, of all things, by a skink in touchdown range as I try to get out of trouble once again. 4-0.
Luckily for me, that's as far as it went! Although I did lose a Blitzer just before going 3-0 down, at that point it was too late by far for him to have been any help.
So, any lessons from this?
1. Skinks are really hard to play against.
2. Orc Blitzers chuck a really good 5+ pass, but their receivers aren't particularly inclined to catch it, especially when there is an opponent within a few hundred metres. Perhaps that's something for the training ground.
Finally, a huge thanks to MisterFurious. We could both see what was happening out there, and he remained not only civil but remarkably gracious and friendly throughout. He is a huge reason why I found the game hilarious instead of quitting Fumbbl right now. Rematch anytime, but can we share dice for it?”
