Santo took the ball. It wasn't an easy advance but we just managed to clear him space to get through for a brief stall despite the apo needing to work on Amazonos, and Barbarus being ko'd.
On their return the Undead held back and eventually ran out of time.

Second half their carrier ghoul Jack raced off on his own. He was there for the taking, but with Blodge we wanted 3DB on him. Alas a skink tripped on his assist dodge chance, and the Ghoul dodged away from Diablo's prehensile tail to equalize.

We had time left. Santo got the wide kick. Amazonos was soon back in the cas box with a broken neck! Santo got rumbled as a ghoul dodged out and blitzed him down. Plus it got the ball. It looked like disaster had struck but Rio Grande blitz tackled (with rr) him down, and Santo got up and took that ball forward again! A superb recovery. The Undead were overcommitted, and Santo could dodge away to victory!

The Champions weathered a lot of blocks today, and Santo just pulled us through. After the match Diablo finally shows some Guard power to help the team in future.”
