“Didn't think I would win this, the first half started good. I blitzed the snotlings with my mb blitzers whenever I could. One ogre got an injury, but apo did a good job to get him back. I tried so hard to win the bash game and put the ogres on the ground that I finally moved my ghoul ball keeper in direct contact with the ogres. I lost the ball, didn't score and had more guys in the ko box than my opponent.
Second half was much better, I had a numbers advantage because none of three KOed snotties came back. The blitz was great to get my important players backfield to the ball.
I picked up the ball and almost messed up the score, a double 1 on a gfi brought my ghoul runner to the ground. My Opponent was just forming a Cage when a one too much knocked out one of his snotlings at the wrong time. The blitz could be done easily and the score was secured.
After the score my opponent also used up his RRs very fast, he had None left when his ogres failed a lot in the last turns so I could get the ball and score a second time.
“Things looked good for the Brogres in the first half. They managed to stave off a score from the undead and Kod a ton of players. I had my share of boneheads and it was slightly above average. I can usually tell this because I didnt use the last RR until about the last turn (I think).
The second half started with an undead blitz and a deep kick. And while the Brogres were able to stand around the ball for a bit, that pesky ghoul picked it up on a 6. Second game in a row where I played my best defense but I can't stop a 6 on the pick up.
He scored and we had 4 turns to try to tie. This is where all of the boneheads and failed break tackles came in. of the 30 some single D6 rolled, I managed 27 1s. So like I said in a blog post, ogres really set their own difficulty. With that many boneheads, my opponent was able to run around and own the field.
Bought my 6th ogre finally before the match. AAAAAnd he got -1 AV injured by a mummy with MB.
My opponent played a great game and deserved the win. I'm gonna keep working through these blackbox games until I can finally get the right dice when I need them. It's hard not to be disappointed. BUT that implies expectations and in games of chance I should know better.
Onwards for hopefully a better game soon. :)”
