Cheers for the game, a real tough line up to face. Teams needs a bit of a build after this one.

#3 Sneaky – Broken Jaw (MNG)
#15 Scritchy – Dead (RIP)
On this occasion the best laid plans of rats and men didn't go all gangly or whatever. The rats implemented a straightforward first drive expedited by the existence of a wizard on the opposing sidelines making hanging around a poor option.

The only slight hitch was the Delf fans' spectacular hit on the team's star secondary Sneaky at the start of their offence. Whilst I could see an argument for the apo even in t4 I know nuffle too well to take this kinda chance. Obvs that was the last problematic injury we suffered and the apo was left untouched. Other than that the rats put in a pretty faultless shift on defence, disincentivising any bold moves with Lowdown and Dirty loitering around just out of view ready to introduce themselves to any hasty elves that wanted to explore the rat's half. In the end the delves ran out of time.

The second half both teams started with 11 but that didn't last too long. The attrition really started to kick in and the elves were losing about a player per turn on average. In the end the defensive cover was out cold and the ball was retrieved (with a little help from the fans by T12 or 13. With nothing left to do except protect the ball and avoid a potentially tournament wrecking LOS, Rats 4 Lyf really set about reducing their opponents with relish and one might even say gusto. Pitch clearance was tantalisingly close but not quite achieved as 1 cowardly elf lay down on the ground to avoid the kerfuffle that raged above.

A most enjoyable game (but I would say that I suppose!). Many thanks to neilwat for being a genteel opponent and the best of luck to you in future tourneys.
