“An utter dicing: I thought going into this it would be a boring match with the rats sprinting past again and again to score while my slow guys watched helplessly.
Instead, a lucky BH roll early on took out one GR, and a lot more hard hits meant most of the team was out by the end of the first half. With only one injury, I figured all the KOs would come back, so when none of them did, that was a bonus and I began to mentally prepare for stalling as long as I could in order to prevent a late equaliser.
Then it turned on its head again - a blitz, the rats got the ball, I took the ball carrier down, I didn't get the ball to safety, they picked it up again, they ran it to the end zone, failed a GFI and fell over, I terrified myself trying to get enough beastmen on the ball to prevent him picking it up and scoring, and even then, with maybe 5 rats left on the pitch, I was still having to be careful to get the ball down the pitch far enough to secure the win.
Thanks for the game Hard going with so many players out and none of them wanting to come back to the slaughter, but kept on pushing to the end!”
