First mirror match for the FAMILY. The opponent has much higher TV and their mummies are crazy good (one with Block and Tackle and one with ST6!). The bad guys also have a longer bench and, more skilled positional. But the FAMILY has 3 guards, and can induce a wizard and a babe. It's going to be a hard game, but we have a reasonable chance.
The bad guys win the coin toss and choose to receive. The FAMILY deploys wide on the LoS and the bad guys take the bait, engaging massively on the LoS. Nuffle smlies and it's a Blitz, and HIPPIE AUNTIE removes the first bad zombie from the pitch. MOM and DAD move carefully, trying to tie up the bad mummies without getting endangered themselves. The kick is deep. Good. The bad guys pickup the ball and leave their players in contact. A clever chainpush and PRINCESS guard is exploited for two different blocks. The FAMILY cracks the wall of bad guys and starts threatening the ball which is still very deep. The bad guys try to scare the FAMILY by getting in touch, but this only allows the FAMILY to punch them more thanks to all our guard. It's wizard time and the ball carrier is turned into a frog. PRINCE blitzes and dodges and he is next to the ball, together with TOOTHLESS GRAMMA. The bad guys try to recover but it's too late. After exchanging punches for a few rounds PRINCE scores the first TD by turn 6. The bad guys setup for a two-turn TD. MOM hurts herself punching a bad zombie and doesn't regenerate! This is going to make the second half harder! The bad guys have a difficult but not impossible chance at a TD in turn 8, but prioritise punching instead. Their blockless mummy mirrors MOM's action from last turn and hurts herself with a both down against a zombie, but regenerates.
Second half and it's still 11 vs. 11. The bad guys deploy 8 players on the LoS but the our punches are not very effective. The kick is shallow and the ball is secure, with DAD (our only mummy by now) protecting HIPPIE AUNTIE who got the honour to carry the ball this time. The second turn is mostly spent trying to get an annoying side-stepping ghoul to get away from the ball carrier until MIDLIFE CRISIS manages to stun him. An evil mummy hurts TOOTHLESS GRAMMA who will miss the next game. Two baddies get next to the ball but DAD frees the ball with a nice chainpush. The baddies are punished for their too aggressive defence style (on their defense, they are 0-1 and it's our drive, so they kind of have to try desperate measures).
The FAMILY takes advantage of the big hole in the baddies defence to get the ball going. An heroic bad wights attempts a difficult but not impossible blitz on the ball (dodge, dodge, gfi and 1D vs blodge). Nuffle disagrees. Snake Eyes. Stunned. HIPPIE AUNTIE scores the 2-0 TD.
The fourth drive of the game starts 11 vs. 10 in favour of the baddies, but a pitch invasion stuns 3 FAMILY members and a single baddie. The LoS punches stun two more FAMILY members. The baddies really want to score and pass the ball to a ghoul who gets in TD range. But our two unstunned ghouls manage to dodge out of their markers and blitz the ball carrier, who is even stunned in the process.. The bounce is definitely FAMILY-friendly. A fight for the control of the are around the ball starts. The FAMILY manages some lucky dodges while the baddies fail a 2+ pickup, and the game is over.
