#10 Shindahl – Smashed Collar Bone (-ST)
“A very disappointing game for the Shrieking Bloodstorm.
Started very solidly, lots of elves KO'd, and the ball in a perfect cage. But I didn't use stand firm, so a guard got next to the ball, and that allowed a 2d blitz, which bounced it into the elves hands.
A massive scrum ensued, but with elves able to dodge through tackle zones and prehensile tails many times over, they were able to finally win. In addition Shindahl's niggling injury KO'd himself on a failed dodge, so the Apo was used on that. Then, in one of those way-too-many-dodges, the elves managed to blitz him and smash his collar bone. To return the favor, my grab saurus was going to shove the blitzed off the pitch, but quad skulled instead, which was too much for Shrieking Bloodstorm.
In the second half, the elves scored on turn 4. We had a decent shot at a one turn, but a perfect kick turned it into 2 turns. Then the elves screen/screen/screened everything, but finally failed a dodge, allowing us a shot at the ball on the very last turn.
However, I didn't understand the mechanics of how pushes worked in the corner, and shoved a random linemen off the pitch instead of the ball carrier. Very disappointing finish, as it could easily have gone to OT.
Frustrating.

Lizard had 2 one one turner, so I prefer to defend and wait for the right moment.
A rain of KO's, my budweiser girls must work today, but a push on the Krok with stand firm was not right interpretated...he doesn't use SF...so a guard next to the ball (i had another block to do...but not necessary duing to this choice)...2 dice on the ball with tackle and strip ball, and ball in hand.
I choose to have a normal cage, no surf risk, and he had to make a 2 GFI with snow to reach the ball, but he did, ball down, then again recovered, and then down again...and in the hand of AG5 skink...
Time for heroes, desperate action of the blitzer (4+4+3+2+, the 1st with tackle...so RR used), GFI, 2 dice used, and ball down and marked from a SS. Arrives the grab: SKULL SKULL RR SKULL SKULL...so run with the ball...a lineman ready to score, then dodgo, pass 2+ and catch 2+...1-0 and ball for me.
I find the right way in the bottom, right side of my team, and then run again...I mark all my I forgot about strengh 3 skink! He arrived to the blodger in easy way...POW! Ball down...need 2 GFI to reach it and pick...but 1-1 on the first, then blitz, pick 2+ and 2-0 for me.
One turn ready, he must score quickly...I make long defence...THROW THE ROCK....right on one, but kick away...so 1 turn gained...he score at turn 6...so I need to resist 2 turns.
I go back, ultra safe cage...but I need 2 dodge 2+ with dodge and RR...1-1 on the first, he could reach 2d under my BC and put in the crowd...bue he choose to go blitzing the side, forgotting about rules of the side line...so useless...2-1, and semifinal, but he costed me my best player (a blitzer with...all...!) and a catcher very very strong...anyway we are here and we will try to play vs a very big chaos...!!!!
