Second game against Orcs in the league. A 11 orcs squad with a troll and no goblin. All rookies except a veteran blodge mighty-blow blitzer. We give away 180k of inducements. They get a bomber and a chainsaw hoping to reduce our numbers.

We receive a deep kick. The thrower and the chainsaw are on the bench. The bomber is left exposed and blitzed. Copperhead fails the pickup but orcs are slow, not worth a reroll. They get in contact and find an opening north to send two blitzers into our half - they want to threaten the ball, but the ball is very far and on ther other side, so those blitzers will definitely not be a problem for at least two turns. We punch but orcs are though to get down. We get the ball and start moving. The bomber is a mere gfi away - worth a try, so we blitz him again, and two sauri get on their good blitzer. They punch back but they can't stop the way for the ball, which advances in the next turn and a cage is formed. The punch on the bomber fails this time, so we might get in trouble next turn. But the bomber fumbles, wastes a reroll and badly hurts a BoB instead. Sweet! But not before the orcs had a chance to attack the cage. We surf a lino who is KO'd by the crowd and leave the ball somehow exposed after trying a greedy block with the kroxi that fails. A good block by the troll and the ball could be blitzed. But the orcs don't see the opportunity and punch around KO'ing a skink in the process. A gentle push on the troll is enough to get the ball going again. We could score with a GFI but this seems like a good time to stall instead. The blitz on the bomber works. The orcs disregard the ball and punch all they can instead. A BoB even fouls - unassisted - a skink. The ref spots it and the BoB is out for the game. We score in turn 6 and the bomber is out for the game. Nice.

As the orcs lost 4 players in the first drive, they have to deploy the chainsaw for these last few turns. Nice! Less to be worried about in the second half. The kick is central, but the troll goes both down (KO'ing a saurus in the process) before the ball is properly secured, so we can put some pressure. We might even score again! The chainsaw KO's another saurus, and a greedy 1D block on a saurus goes skull. The orcs haven't touched the ball yet. We blitz the thrower and the ball is free for the taking. Two dodges, a pickup and two gfi and we score again. But Cottonmouth fails the pickup. Fair enough.

Second half is 10 vs. 8 for us. We setup asymmetrically and they take the bait. The ball ends on the right side (for us). Their good blitzer picks up the ball and waits back. We put pressure on the ball separating the three players in the back from the 5 around the LoS. They find a way south and screen the ball. But a push on a saurus is not followed up, so Python has a shot at blitzing the ball. The ball is down and the bounce is good. Three of us vs. two of them around the ball. But they reroll a sucessfull blitz (misclick?) which turns into double skull (Nuffle is evil!) and it's our turn again. Cottonmouth picks up the ball using our last reroll and runs away. They cannot blitz him now, but with two gfi their thrower gets in contact. It is time for skink blitz, which goes skull. The thrower blocks the ball but it's just a push. For some strange reason we don't blitz the thrower, but their good blitzer instead - and fail in the process. They can now punch our skinks - did we throw away a TD? But Cottonmouth dodges and picks up the ball and runs in TD in turn 6.

We are 9 vs. 8 for the last few turns. Kick close to the LoS. Once again they start blocking with the troll that goes both down before protecting the ball. We might be able to score again. They certantly won't. The pickup succeeds and we have to leave the ball exposed to a thrower blitz if we want to hope to score with two gfi's... Just a push but Coachwhip cannot score anymore. Now we need a blitz, a handoff to Cottonmouth AND the two gfi. But we got a reroll at the kickoff event so why not? Nuffle smiles and it's 3-0.
