“The rats brought the finest thick skulls today. Their opponents got more than their share of pushes, while we got more than our share of pows (always necessary against amazons). Our armor broke reasonably consistently, but.. not for pitch removal. The rats hung on and hung on and hung on.

The amazons received in the first half, but, without being able to remove rats (although in the first half, we didn't exactly remove amazons either), they ended up being stuck in a corner; they had to get through paired columns, and it all started with a single die block from a blockless amazon linewoman. Which rolled double skulls. The half ended 0-0.

The second half, the amazons managed a tricksy smash through our line to bring down the ball carrier (really, that was just poor positioning on my part), and then managed to make a few dodges and gfi with an agi 4 amazon blodger to pick the ball up! Disaster! But, we managed to pow the amazon with a skilless linerat, and so Dukene snatched up the ball and ran to safety. The amazons didn't try any more risky attempts on the ball, which allowed the Rats to swap sidelines twice - we were also removing amazons fairly regularly, and the Otyugh never failed really stupid (unlike the first half opening few turns..); and that sealed a turn 7 touchdown. 1-0.

The amazons moved a few players into position to score, but, in the end they needed 2+ 2+ 2+ (with catch) 3+ 3+ 2+ 2+ to dodge through our lines to score.. and despite having a team rr available, they eventually rolled snake eyes.
