This one is for you, Xeterog.

BYU comes out swinging and takes down a skink early. Not the worst thing that can happen on defense, but something to keep in mind. After some early jockeying, BYU's only tackle player has to see the apothecary to continue.

With the tackle out and several players tied up, BYU decides to score and manages to dodge out of a diving tackle zone to do so on turn 3. Duke has a lot of young Saurii and any kind of turnover could win the game outright for BYU.

Perfect Defense gives BYU a chance to force blocks from some unskilled Saurii. One elf removed and a deep keep means that BYU will have some opportunity to try to cut off the ball carrier from his Saurus support. BYU gets pretty handsy and makes many dodges to exert that pressure. There is a space, but it will require a dodge or a blitz to free the lane. Nob Carson makes his only block of the day while carrying the ball and this blitzes him free to link up with his protectors. Duke loses a skink for the drive due to a failed dodge.

The following turn puts Duke in scoring range with a caravan to the endzone. The elves get dirty and lost a catcher to the ban bin and Duke extends their man advantage by injuring a blitzer and the dirty elves lose a second catcher to a foul.

Nob Carson evens the game at 1-1.

All of BYUs catchers are now out after a blitz on the first turn of the second half. BYU's speed is seriously curtailed and now faces a full complement of the Blue-Green Devils for the 2nd half grind. A small glimmer of hope when the pickup is failed by stud Nob Carson. Nob makes the second pickup, but stays deep and out of range while the Lizards try to tie up the elves.

Turn 11 has the Lizards safely out of contact and Nob Carson with his protectors and the elves only have 7 bodies for the rest of the drive.

Duke methodically moves down the field before scoring the winning TD. Cody Ko earns his first skill while Kroxigor Clark Styron continues to impress. Ultimately Felton Capel III and Nob Carson led the team to victory with 15 blocks and 2 TDs, respectively.
