The Ronin simply could not get things rolling. The wizard failed to turn the high speed elf into a frog early in the first half and in the second half could not avoid the one die POW on the ball carrier. The pirates also gave up several one die shots on the ball carrier but none of them resulted in the ball coming loose.
In reality, the only cas of the match was inconsequential and despite outblocking the pirates, and having better armor, more Ronin spent time on the bench.
Add to this the fact that Datom played it well and it was really a lopsidded affair.
