“This was the third match in a row the Plebeians had against one of coach LVVL's teams. But this time Lizardmen with lots of guard posed a more serious blocking threat than the Slaan that came before.

Straight off, when we were about to receive, the Tanner was cas'd by a thrown rock! We were put in panic with thoughts of how we would get past the Lizard wall. Gunther quickly passed the ball off to catcher Zebedee. We spread out and the Lizards marked up. It was not long before the Krox got himself next to Zebedee. We got the thing down, but were still in our own half. A blitz didn't get the needed knock down of a skink and then when Zebedee still recklessly ran forward he was free to be hit. A star Saurus, Rexor, promptly bulled him down and cas'd him. A skink got the ball. Marius responded by blitzing it down and the ball went off the pitch. But fellow blitzer Josef tripped up when he tried to get close to the ball that had been hurled back on to their side of the pitch. Once a skink recovered the ball it all seemed over for our drive. Another gfi failed when we tried to tag it. The Lizards romped away to score in turn 8. Our one positive point in the half was removing a skink from play.

Second half the Krox was stunned by a revenge rock throw. We were soon given another chance to take down their skink with the ball, but the linos could only push. Moments later a lino was KO'd and blitzer Alda was retired from Saurii hits! We were in disarray. Despite that Marius again took down the ball carrier, this time causing a KO. But it was too late, and another skink did the ball gathering duties. Our team starts to blunder around and we go down 2-0.

Moments left for a consolatory TD but alas we were caught further off guard by a Perfect Defence. Gunther picked up the ball, rushed forward too much, and fell over. Eventually it ends 2-0 to the Lizards.

A few too many gfis done today, and of course some crucial ones failed or needed rerolling as usual with this cursed and seemingly very risky action. :O

The Plebeians will return, and will be hungry to get back to winning ways.”
