#6 Hate – Smashed Knee (NI)
#6 Hate – Broken Ribs (MNG)
This was a very tight game and a disappointing loss for the Inclinations.
The first half was a predictable affair, ending 1-0 in our favor but we only had 6 to line up for the second half...which might have been alright.
We nearly scored the go-ahead on 2/5, needing a 3+ pass with reroll, 2+ catch with reroll, 2+ dodge with no reroll, but instead threw the 1 in 6 interception :-(
The evil Fear-Fakers proceeded to boot the ball around a bit, but eventually scored a heartbreaking turn 2/8 TD to seal the deal.
Unxerxes had excellent luck in this game and used it well, playing a conservative style of ball control with lots of blocks.
Well played Unxerxes! And thx for the game!

after the fairly standard 2-turn td from the elves, I was able to protect my ball with my 4 chaos warriors. Knowing that with some modest help from a beastman or 2 and the minotaur, tautology wouldn't be able to break the cage I kept the ball safely there whilst sending some beastmen behind his lines trying to either divert attention away from the cage or getting a beastman in a safe scoring position. Seeing as Tautology kept immobilising my cage I went for the second option and the plan worked beautifully but when in turn 7 I wanted to pass the ball, the beastmen refused the catch. Turn 8 I managed to recover the ball those sneaky elves had thrown away to a single player mid-field but once again the catch failed ending the first half 0-1 against. Luckely my troops had managed to thin out the elven herde somewhat making it possible to score safely in 4 turns leaving me with just enough time to go for the winning td.
Off course, this meant I first had to get that ball out of elven hands wich proved difficult untill nuffle himself intervened and granted me an interception on the crucial pass of my oponent deciding the game in my favor. Nuffle continued to support the chaos-play which allowed me to score in turn 8 with a chaos warrior. Praise Nuffle in all his glory
One of the thightest games I can remember playing here and a very good job by my opponent but when the cards are stacked against you, there is little you can do. Once again sorry about the niggle and hope to play you again some day.
