Coach Buck Post-Game Press Conference
"We had our shots. Got an early jump on the ball right off the bat and managed to take a few of their players out early, but #7 Jett Bender is player to be sure. He gave our big boy Torgan a stiff hint of reality this go-around, and we haven't run into a player able to even stand toe-to-toe with him all season, let alone bully him the entire game. To add to this he was a devastating threat as a ball carrier. We had our shots to be sure though. We lost, but this game could've easily been a draw, if not a win. We had what looked like a go-ahead score at the end of the 1st half, but Vothug just got a little too excited and stumbled into the endzone. The second half as well, we looked like we were in a pretty solid position to punch it in, but, and I'm not kiddin' here, say all you want about the honor of elves on the pitch, there was a legitimate pit trap right in the center of the field that caught our ball carrier, and then I really just made a bad call trying to have one of our Bigs go after one of their catchers a bit too early. All-in-all, a lot to learn from. The boys played well, but sadly, Ohio played a bit better today. Well done Coach Jeffro! Good luck the rest of the way. No question today folks, we got work to do."”
