“Over 30,000 spectators crammed in the stadium to watch the high profile match as Morrslieb crept upon the horizon. Kay Knigh'n was so keen to show his worth he rushed the first Touchdown after the Muhle had sneakily given the Lunatics first receive of the ball, all set for a hard grind.
The Muhle lured the Lunatics North, before swiftly collecting and passing the ball south with Pimmz deep into the opposition half. Lunard pulled a trademark Lupine loop-da-loop blitz, while Kay Knih'n and Woo came around mindful to protect the endzone. Then the Muhle caged deep...but with pressure all round. The Lupin pressed in on the ball from all sides. The Muhle broke a gap...but to the Muhle fans dismay saw Bernard trip over Lunard's outstretched paw, with the endzone in sight!
Whisp wasted no time grabbing the ball and diving behind a screen of Bill, Gurgles and Kay.
But on the run back across field... Hof pulled out all the stops and spilled the Ball at full tilt... Whisp seemed to forget his Wrestling skills and got KO'd leaving Hof suprisingly on his feet looking very chuffed! Thankfully BlightyFryte grabbed the loose ball and sprinted it home, leaving Muhle minutes to score in 1st half! With a tidy pick up and Handover... Hendric is mostly screened in sprinting range of the Endzone and Lunard gets busy blocking the path and pushing back...but alas breaks his ankle in a routine shove! Hendrick starts his dash but gets caught up getting past Woo, further upsetting the Muhle fans!
a couple of minutes into second half and the Lunatics push Karl Ing into the back of their defence. Whisp goes for the spill, but can't wrestle the ball from Karl Ing's sure hands. Karl Ing then goes on to blitz and dodge his way through the Lunatics to sprint behind Jager. But Jager is already in a tussle with Bill....and goes down. This time Whisp wrestles Karl to the floor and the ball goes loose! Both Jager and Karl dodge away grab ball and sprint full tilt at the end zone. Spurred on by the imminent score, from potential disaster the whole Muhle team pow, dodge n rush to screen the ball! But supported by a sprinting Duane, Woo bashes Jager good and the ball gets thrown midfield by the crowd. Whyte kills himself dodging to the ball...but is thankfully regenerated in the dugouts with some radiant moon beams! Hendrick can't get the ball out of the Zomb tackle zones and a scrabble ensues! The moon ascends Gurgles bases the ball and the maddness takes over: Kay trips over Bernard, Skol stuns himself, Ben throws himself on the floor and Dinger falls over Gurgh...all the while the clock is ticking! Fryte takes the opportunity to grab the ball and gets within sprinting range of a final TD. He looks a round an sees support and no threat...but Skol rises to the occasion; stunning Whisp and tagging Gurgh. Then Herr Dinger dodges and sprints to tag the Wight, who then panics and falls over at the last whistle attempting to blitz away into Endzone!
