Season 35 Gnarley-Raiderson Chain Saws Slaughter Bowl (each team gets a Chainsaw)

Karak plays well, but fails in key instances that lead to the 2-0 loss.

1st half starts out with Max Spleen Ripper stunning himself on a blitz when the chainsaw kicked back. Flint took advantage of this fact and on the 2nd foul, fractured Max's skull. Basically that was the extent of the Chainsaw action. In other action, a dwarven wall worked to stop John Molson from advancing. Eventually a hole was punched and Pavel Bury sprinted through. Although Little Timothy was in range to hit Bury (thanks to Reggie Blight not really know how to play Bloodbowl), Coach Xeterog called for Junior to dodge away and try to get an assist for Timothy. Failing this dodge led directly to Bury scoring as the half ended.

2nd half was pretty much the same. Karak pushed forward, and looked to have a TD almost secured, but Kid LongLegs was knocked down and the ball ended up in Bury's hands yet again. Again, Coach Xeterog has Junior try to get into position for an assist, but he falls again on the dodge, leaving the path open for Bury to score again.

On to Season 36, the last for a couple of seasons as Coach Xeterog will coach the Sham Howson Ratz in Season 37 and Zhar Naggarund Mountaineers in season 38.

Fred the Rock learns how to block with more precision (grab) while Dying Time picks up Juggernaut.

NCBB Season 35
Gnarley-Raiderson Chain Saws Slaughter Bowl

The John Molson School of Bruising concludes its first season with a final match against the dangerous dwarves of Karak University, a chain saw duel that could have left either team maimed and incapacitated. Max Spleenripper was graciously hired by the league to perform for the Nurgle squad, while the inducements provided the addition of Bilerot Vomitflesh.

The Nurgle team was betting heavily on dirty tricks to help them even the odds, however commissioner ex-convict engineered a clever glitch in the pregame procedure to force a reshuffle meant to keep the non-AQ contender "in check".

A totally drunk Max Spleenripper kicked off a difficult first half for JMSB by stunning himself on his very first attempt to use the chain saw. That proved very costly as he was quickly disposed of by the opposing chainsaw who took advantage of his vulnerable position.

Quickly outnumbered, John Molson attempted to fight back, but found little success at getting the dwarves down and even less keeping them there. Ball carrier Terry Bradsaw ended up quickly surrounded by sidestepping guards with very little place to go.

He was eventually knocked down, but Pavel Bury was somehow able to recover and put himself into scoring position. Reggie Blight had a great opportunity to mark the free blitzer, but went really stupid under pressure. That proved inconsequential, as the dwarves then failed a dodge meant to assist the blitz, leaving an open field to JMSB and putting them up 1-0 at the half.

Starting the second half, Danae Moon was given exploding runes to throw at the dwarves. That was quickly followed by an Illegal Substitution that let the niggled rotter Grant Fury step on the field as a 12th man.

JSMB found itself defending against the flank, but got an opportunity to hit the ball when Little Timothy failed his attempt to surf Dale Hawerchoke. The ball bounced next to Bury who secured it and ran downfield with the beast again looking dazed when most needed.

History repeated itself when Karak failed another dodge before blitzing Bury, leaving him again wide open to run out of reach. JSMB covered his retreat and delayed just enough for Moon to get the chance to bomb herself, to the great enjoyment of the crowd.

Bury stalled a bit and then scored his second TD, sealing the game for his team. He was awarded MVP and gained some strength that will surely help him in season 36.

The team considered filing a complaint against the league for the discrepancies in the pre-game procedure, however redshirt freshman Ken Griefer Jr. apparently ate the forms during the post game celebration.

Thanks to coach Xeterog for providing a though competition in everything but dodging!
