Chopper could have been sacrificed to Nurgle with an early foul from Vilebrook, but the apo denied me. We took away Ares a turn later because he was a Guard lineman and nobody is allowed nice things. After that, a slow plod for the rest of the first half to try to keep the numbers in my favour, and a turn 8 score.
Second half could have easily seen the elves run through us, but a perfect defence put a stop to that. We let the ball get away twice, but a pretty reliable Colossal Squid, combined with the right person catching the ball when it bounced, meant eventually we could get the ball out to Locust for a score, leaving a mound of damaged elves in our wake.
