“I'd like to give a special shout out to Thoriin who gave me as tough a match you could expect in a final.

In the first half, I was literally stuck in mud trying to block those pesky stand firm elementals to very little effect. In the final moments of the half, I somehow made the water elemental wet his pants which proved just enough to prevent the score.

In the second half, I was able to take the lead, but couldn't burn enough clock to prevent Thoriin from tying at the very end, forcing the overtime.

Overtime was a very intense affair, a careful game of back and forth positioning as we were both waiting for a mistake or bad roll to open the way to victory. I had a few shots at the ball, but each time the slippery blodger eluded my grasp.

As Thoriin pushed to get in scoring range, I had a final chance to stop him, I had carefully banked a re-roll for that very moment. I blitzed the ball carrier, using the re-roll on the dodge to break free, but the block yielded both down which sent my rookie lineman to the ground.

From there, a few blocks cleared the rest of the way and the elementals walked in for the score. Congrats on the win Thoriin!
