After that things picked up for Weaponz but Sigmar and 40k worked to keep the player count even, doing 2 first half casualties a piece and Sigmar added a TD pass to give the elves a 2-0 lead. The Weaponz started the second half with a 8-7 player advantage but the elves were getting the ball and Sigmar was on a mission. Taking out the Pogoer who had blitzed into the elven backfield. With 3 causalities in the first 9 turns, Sigmar was sniffing the number 1 overall spot. He needed 3 more. Turn 2 was productive as another was badly hurt. Turn 3 saw another goblin go down. And on turn 5, Sigmar killed Refguleer to claim a portion of the top spot. It didn't look like he would be able to get the top slot however as all the goblins were off the pitch leaving just 2 trolls. The glider was only KO'd so maybe with a quick score on Turn 6 he would get another chance. Turns out it wasn't need. Sigmar directed his remaining teammates to surround the standing troll and and charged with his S2 to break his neck. He regenerated but the scorekeeper counted it!
Sigmar was ready to retire only to be informed that the team is down to 8 players, 3 of which have requested retirement so his time on the team is not up yet. Reluctantly he has agreed to stay on as the number 2,3, and 4 catchers are all still active, although only 1 has played a game in the last year.”
