“An exciting match to start the Fumbbl Cup off for Khory. Opting to receive, Khory controlled the drive, but left themselves exposed and were forced to score early (and survived the Zap from the Wiz).
A poor setup on defence let their opponents get a sniff of the endzone, but Iron Peter used his superior movement to sack the ball carrier. The loose ball was picked up by the Legend that is Iron Plate, who hurled a pass down field to Reserve, who was waiting to step in to score.
Starting the second half, in the pouring rain, Khory setup in a better position but once again, the defence was exposed. Their opponents shifted the ball and broke through the lines and trundled towards the endzone. A heroic dodge into 2 tacklezones for a 1d block by one of the Khory rookies failed to dislodge the ball and the score quickly became 2-1.
The final turns of this match then became a frantic scramble. Khory burnt through rerolls trying to grab a 3rd TD in an attempt to put the match out of reach, Khory started taking casualties left right and centre, Borak was impossible to knock onto the floor, tying up several Khory players.
In the end, a solid block from the Roboskunk put the only player in scoring range onto his back, ending the match as a contest with one turn left to go.
Khory again tried for the passing play to get a 3rd TD but Nuffle was having none of it and the match ended with a 2-1 win to Khory and onto the next round (where it looks like I'll be bullied by some guarded up Orcs, unless those rookie lizzies do the bizziez).
