“If anything, this game was closer than the 1-0 score might suggest. Ferocious defense was the order of the day as Kenty made the going as tough as possible for the dark philosophers and threw in a blitz to start the second half just for good measure. Having Gorge Berzerkely and St Anselm both miss the game made our defense significantly more difficult, but we persevered and sacrificed our bodies to tie up the brutal Necromantics who seemed more interested in KO'ing our entire team than inflicting more serious harm. The one TD we did score was appropriately miraculous as we tossed a long bomb successfully in the glaring sun and then ran a lone blitzer down the sideline bush-league style! Whatever works, I guess. Our more sophisticated attempt at scoring was stopped by brutal double ones at the end of the first half.
Kenty had a very long-odds shot at tying on turn 2/8, but started the festivities with double skulls, and of course re-rolls were long gone in this tight game.
FF moved up for once...imagine that. There may be hope for us yet.
