First half was a cagey affair with most of the action taking place around the scrimmage line, neither team able to break through or willing to over commit too early. Rage held fast despite losing bodies early on.
Garrison left a slight opening allowing the Rage to put pressure on the ball carrier, forcing a Fumbbl when Beaumont tried to Hand-Off to Darleston. Desantis recovers the ball and passes back to James Grimmand. Garrison reply with a blitz and Grimmand drops the ball. Fortunately for the Rage Super-Star Reggie Laduex is on hand to scoop up the ball and get the ball back to Desantis who then runs away down field. Not used to being so close to a Touchdown he gets over-excited and looses his footing but has enough time to pick himself up and carry the ball over the line.
Rage received the ball at the start of the 2nd half and played a very cagey zonal defense. They probed for an opening but the Garrison shut them down and heaped on the pressure. The pressure paid off as they cornered Youngston forcing him to make a move. The pass was fluffed and he dropped the ball in centre field.
Garrison will be unhappy how this one ended has in the dying minutes they had 3 clear-cut chances to get the ball in the end-zone and secure a tie. Darleston and Brownlock both had hands on the ball but somehow both managed to trip over their own feet and lose possession of the ball. Rage Thrower Youngston again tried to shift the ball downfield but inadvertently knocks the ball in to touch. The crowd launch it back in to play at the feet of Garrison Blitzer Crabb. He tries to connect with Darleston on a Long Pass as the clock ticks down the final seconds. The ball is dropped by Crabb and time runs out. Rage secure the most unlikeliest of victories.
Thanks ttorvatn for one of the most exciting games of BB I have ever had! Always a pleasure Sir. ”
