my 1690 Helfs vs 1580 Union. 2 guards, +ST DT blitzer, solid thrower, but loners and merc.

They'd had a rough season up to here, and then I won the toss and set about smashing them. They pulled off a dodgy sack, annoying big blitzer on the ball, but Fred took care of him and that was that really, handoff needed to score, but pretty safe, 1-0 turn eight.

Then they one-turned, as you do. 1-1 half time.

Our defense, 11 Helfs vs 10 Union. We played it pretty flat to turn 4, made a slight error on the wrestle guard gave them a few hits, but we recovered position and eventually they ran up a seagul, which Fred promtly near murdered. A second seagul was stunned by Lachie, and the rest of the team hunted after the retreating ball, with Dave back covering their punt option.

Their last turn, they hid on the sideline behind their stepping DT, a guard on the ball, but apparently missed that Fred, who hadn't really used it all season, had Leap. So he leap-filled (Pro!), Alan surfed the ball, and the crowd was kind enough to pop it right in front of Albert near the line, who picked up and scored. 2-1 full time.
