“OWA came into this match without Blitzers, but determined to put in a strong effort against these Skaven. Both teams playing their second ever matches after a win.

We received a long kick. A strong start with the Trollslayer KO'ing a linerat while the Ogre Ivan Ko'd another, and was stunned himself, with a clash of heads. We hadn't picked up yet and so a blitzer and GR rushed into our half. But Gimran ko'd another and as the Skaven moved to one side we moved our extra numbers to the other. We took our time, and with a lineman smashing a linerat's jaw our Catcher Jones had plenty of space to score by half-time. But the KO'd linerats were eager to return to the match and in the final seconds of the half our thrower took a serious injury from an angry fan thrown rock!

Second half a Gutter Runner caught the short kick, went forward, shrugged off a Jones blitz, and after a lineman tripped up, it went through for the equalizer. Their Rat Ogre also cas'd a Dwarf.

We came back aided by Ogre and Dwarf caused KOs and Jones scored a 2nd.

The coaches had been discussing if the wild Rat Ogre was really good value to the Skaven side. Well, just after they advanced into our half our Ogre Ivan "Lone Wolf" decided the argument. He produced a titanic blow to the head of the Rat Ogre, killing it straight while shouting a manic "HAPPY NEW YEAR!!". Not only that but Gisrek blitzed down their ball carrier and the scattered ball was thrown back to their end of the pitch. AND Jones picked it up. He was in turn blitzed down but the Trollslayer Thorgut caught the ball and made a surprise TD to seal the match.

A fun one and the Skaven did well to put up a lot of resistance considering how many KOs they suffered today.
