“An absolute travesty of a game - I have never been more tempted to concede.
A 16 turn run of abysmal ranging to poor luck for me, balanced by unbelievable blocking luck for him - I can think of maybe two blocks that failed completely for him BEFORE he rerolled them into POWs. It didnt help that I couldn't roll a KO, much less a casualty against him. Don't let the luck score fool you - my client crashed on turn 13 or so, and he ran into a sting of double pushes that lowered his score. He also made every GFI and dodge he attempted, less one that he was forced to reroll.
Very frustrating.
Still, Toonie is a good coach, and was hard to play against even if he was lucky. He was also not an ass about it, and I would certainly play him again.
Personal note - I had an opportunity on my turn 16 to foul his Troll, who was well away from the action, but decided not to do it - do unto others, and all that. He repaid my courtesy (weakness?) by rolling a one die POW and GFIing his Blitzer into the endzone (on no rerolls, i might add) to make it 3-0. Then my one Longbeard who had advanced rolled snake-eyes on the aging roll and came up with a niggler.
Sigh - It was just one of those games.”
