“Ottawa finishes the season strong. 3 of the fouls caused pitch removal (although, KO rolls after UCSD offense meant none of the KOs stayed asleep), and 3 block cas is better than the season average. Maybe we can hit like we mean it again?

But the removals were very key for defense. We held UCSD to a risky move forward that let us get a 2-gfi blitz on the ball - and it worked. We couldn't quite capitalize to score with a pass, but 0-0 at the half was ideal.

In the second half, we received, and ground down very evenly on the pitch. A few removals here and there, and the high elves largely unable to remove anything or slow us down let us step a turn 8 cage virtually ON the goal line. But.. the cage didn't have guard covering every entrance. So, UCSD star blitzer Lauret lunged in, 4+ dodge (dodge re-roll pass!), 5+ dodge (pass!), 1d block on blodge sidestep, POW! Down goes Michele on turn 8! And the bounce, while not perfect, is good! It gets out of the cage to where an elf can reach it!

But the elf .. can't pass the 4+ pick up. And the ball bounces.. and.. Jan Vizeir, the giant stand firm mummy, nonchalantly catches the ball, watches the last elf get punted out of the way, and strolls in for a touchdown.
