They did a Perfect Defence. We knocked some back but they blitz cas'd a line Orc and 7 Elves swarmed into our half. 3 players back including the carrier, but it wasn't enough. Reckless perhaps in the face of such pace. No Burdens tried to escape but a couple of Elves were on him, and he was smashed down. With a pickup,handoff and rush they were then 1-0 up!

Next kick off we were blitzed! But gfis scuppered a Catcher approaching the ball. Bears Goods KO'd an Elf and then No Burdens could move into a more comfortable position. We got players near the endzone while there was still fighting spread across the pitch. Safe Deliverer needed apo help! And then their strong Lino killed a Black Orc, Efficient Mover. A shock to our usually durable side. That left us in trouble still trying to stall. Thankfully No Burdens stood up superbly to a Blitzer blitz and even cas'd it back. Thus managing to stall out to half-time for 1-1.

Second half due to casualties and a heat sufferer we were down to 9 players. While the Elves were also down to 9 after a well thrown rock hit. They got the ball, but a KO of a line elf helped keep us optimistic. Still after absorbing a couple of hits we kept near the halfway line and their side pulled back. We tried to stay mostly back ready for their move. Eventually their strong line elf offered himself up to be hit. It took a few of our players to do it, and then the Elves took their chance to bash a lino out of the way and moved a couple of players through. Instead of trying a pass or handoff forward their carrier just went near halfway and they didn't put any players further forward. They were out of time to score! A miscalculation. We then thought we had chance to score, with their carrier blitz tackled down, and No Burdens pulling off dodges and a handoff. But I should have moved Bike shifter one square further right on the prior turn. He caught the ball but was a yard short to get the winner!

A good match which both coaches missed the chance to win late on.
