The Dark Elves received and the Undead committed almost everyone forward, leaving a huge gap on the wing. The Dark Elves tried a simple pass, but a snaked catch turned things into a melee.
The Undead swarmed around the Elves, but left the chance for a ghoul to be surfed for a BH. After which the Elves recovered the ball and after dodging a fireball from the wizard, marched downfield to score.
The score was not without price though, as a Str 4 Dark Elf and Guard Blitzer were both killed, with the Apo being little help.
Onto the second half and the Dark Elves delayed the Undead, with a 1D chance at the ball carrier with a wrestle Elf, after an undead error. They then delayed the Undead until turn 7, when the undead had to leave their carrier open. A 2+ dodge with reroll would leave chance for a 2D with tackle on the carrier, but the snakes struck again, saving the Undead.
So, the game finished 1-1 and went into overtime, where the luck the Elves had been having continued, as the Undead got to receive.
The game, as you would expect, therefore ended 2-1 to the Undead, with 3 dead elves, another saved from death and 2 serious SI's.
COaching wise, I thought I had done everything I could to win this one, but that's when Nuffle comes along and kicks you in the nads. A hard one to take, so I think it's time for another break from the game.
Probably best not to have reached the finals anyway, as in 2 games I have lost 2 Str 4 Elves and 3 Guard blitzers...”
