“The OWA faced Undead again. This one was a toughie. They ground us down in their drive. Early on our apo had to do miraculous work to save the life of our Sergeant. He had ran around to put the pressure on their carrier, but their Tackler Troy unleashed a monster blow. Then a zombie smashed a lino's knee badly. A Dwarf was also badly hurt in a foul. We were struggling, but late in the half Victoria managed to dodge and blitz pow KO their carrier! It was at the pitch edge, the ball bounced... but stayed on! We were willing it to go off. But another Ghoul just managed to pick it up and gfi in to the endzone before their time ran out.

Second half there was a truly freakish kick. Their side put a spanner in the works by doing a Perfect Defence. Not only that but their short kick bounced right next to the LOS within both Mummy's and a Wight's tackle zones! The worst possible square it could go to on the pitch for our pickup. Amazing. Justin couldn't retrieve it, and then he was smashed down and stunned by Troy. The Ghoul then receiving a handoff too. We were in a mess. Eventually we put on some pressure when Torgut the Trollslayer KO'd a zombie and remarkably "Cry Baby" Mo managed to badly hurt a Mummy when leading a 3 player gang foul! Time was running out as we twice tagged the Ghoul, and then the Sergeant blitzed him too. But we couldn't get him down. Then Troy raced away. At full pace he even kept going and got a 2nd TD. A harsh scoreline but for much of the match we were struggling. That kick they made was really a shocker for us.

With no wins in our last five the higher level is proving much tougher than our early matches. We were close to stopping the TDs but were hit a lot, so it could have been worse..
Justin Jones gets our MVP for bravery, and one bright spot after was seeing Terent "Long Arm" Cant showing improved agility. Elf-like potential now in our thrower and catcher combo.”
