“Well, what a game.. Evangelists had 9 players against 13 angry elves. Well, we thought we had 9 players, but then Brother Dwight decides to complain about his knee and doesn't even attempt to get on the field!
So, with 8 players for the match it was pure desperation all game long for us.. They managed to score fairly easy, but in the second half we set up aggressively and gave ourselves a chance. The elves managed to knock the ball loose, but our disgruntled rookie made a magical play (dodged, picked up ball in tacklezone, dodged, and 2 gfi's) and pranced his way up field! They managed to not knock him down and he dodged to score! It should also be noted we lost our fastest player due to a failed dodge on turn 7 first half (badly hurt himself again).
Second half looked very grim. It saw 7 Evangelists against 11 Menzoberranzan's.. Anyway, we overloaded to the right side and prayed for a bad kick and multiple successes with multiple failures for them. And what did Nuffle do!?!?! He granted my wish! Yes.. finally something good came our way! That's right.. bad kick, then three critical blocks were pows on blodge players (with critical stuns). We setup a terrible perimeter and prayed. First thing they did was fail a dodge (1, 1) then it was our turn again!
Long story short.. we scored, and held them off to win the game. But to be fair, we had a major Re-Roll advantage and Kanzo had terrible luck. It wasn't due to poor coaching, he knew what he was doing but just didn't have the rolls to help him.
But atleast no one one maimed, FF increased both ways and we each got a little cash. Thanks for the game. ”
