“RRR round one

The idea behind this team is trying to replicate Undress_'s success against my orc team in another RRR: keep cost very low, induce Morg and some riotous rookies, and go to town! Unfortunately, I made a tactical blunder and rostered 16 players, leaving no spot free for Mr. Morg. Oops! Wizard, apo, babes, and another RR it will have to be.

Receiving first half, turn 1, troll rolls both down and manages to badly hurt itself (apo used). Pull back with the ball carrier and screen as we try to get some fouls in. Manage to KO the human blitzer, who never comes back, but do a bad job of screening and lose the ball. However, it goes out of bounds and falls near my players (very lucky!) so OWR can't recover and score. Get a lucky block into the ball and a snot catches it on the scatter, and rushes forward with TD dreams. After surviving 6 dice, however, he trips on a 1, RR 1 dodge and OWR has only to pick up the ball in an open field with sure hands and hand it off to the catcher for a turn 8 score. Luckily, again for the snots, the pickup is bobbled and we go to the half tied.

Second half, now with both trolls and 3 swarming players! On T1 their thrower tries to pass to the catcher but fumbles it and the wizard steps in. Somehow we got a real winner, as the fireball knocks down all 4 targeted players, including a stun on the thrower and an MNG on one of the dwarf blockers! Grab the ball, cage up as best we can, and slowly march downfield, throwing fouls as needed until we punched it in on the final turn of the match.

Overall, the wizard worked so well that it's hard to believe that Morg could have done better. We also used the extra RR both halves, the apothecary to save a troll, and had lots of KOs, so who knows which way we will decide to swing next match!
