The Waaargh was on again, this time straight into some very serious looking men in silly hats. Quite why they expected to find witches amongst the Snotlings was never entirely clear but the fight was on anyway.
L.A.D.S. took a decent 21-14 lead onto the field. They hadn't heard the word Flagellant before but someone had told them it involved being alone, rapid beating and a great sense of remorse. Snotlings had a word for something similar and would regularly be found doing it if left alone long enough. Hopefully the number advantage would prevent too sticky an end for everyone involved.
At the coin toss, The Immolators chose to receive the ball and L.A.D.S. got ready to take a pounding.

Kick Off
L.A.D.S. 21-14 Sigmar's Immolators
The game got off to a thrilling start with Lump and team able to mark up the ball making it difficult for the Immolators. Furthermore L.A.D.S. consider themselves a family club, so Bom quickly targeted and removed the Witch Hunter in the middle of the pitch who had thought it ok to get his balls out and start swinging them all over the place. Someone should have a word with Sigmar about these Immolators, they are a mucky mucky bunch!
Sadly for L.A.D.S. attrition really kicked in and there were very few left midway into the half. The Immolators were able to cross easily for the first score shortly before half time.
L.A.D.S. went for a quick reply just before the break but Ripper failed to launch Wiz down the field. More on Ripper's failures later....

Half Time
L.A.D.S. 21-15 Sigmar's Immolators
Second Half began ok for the L.A.D.S but it's fair to say with a 6pt lead complacency had set in. A errant Chuk bomb took out the Cabalvision Pump Wagon exposing Wiz for the sack. Ripper got in on the act failing 4 successive blocks.
Lump (obviously) the only one to come out of it with any credit securing two casualties. In doing so Lump was rightly recognised as Veteran of the team and will now Stand Firm for the greater good.
The ball was eventually spilt back to the Immolators who ran in a second score but it was far too late to make up the 6pt difference from the start of the half.
They say the greatest teams are those that can play poorly and keep winning. L.A.D.S. proved that today. At 8 wins in their first 8 games they have surpassed the Celestial Divine Wind are the most successful start for a team in CIBBL history!
What awaits in Autumn!
