“Choosing to carry on the tackle player was a mistake, as they had 3 dodgers.
Turn 2: I could have made the ball carrier more secure before the blitz, no real reason not to.
Turn 3: Should have put more re-inforcement around where the Yeti was going to blitz in and try to base the ball carrier (ST4 or Stand firm, or just more men)
Turn 4: (have to clear double based ball carrier)
I tried to use a chain block to clear both players, I blocked the yeti, I could have just cancelled some assists and had a 2D block on the lineman and chained off the Yeti.
Also, went for a foul to try and clear the prone lineman next to the ball-carrier. Getting sent off left us open to easy 2D sack. Better to just be in the way, but still on the pitch.
Second half. Only 8 Norse (vs full 11) to stop.
Turn 1: Got pretty mixed up deciding what to blitz and block, misjudged a 2D on the Ulf and had to change plans mid turn. Ended up with most of team basing the Yeti. With frenzy, the Norse were able to clear a path through for ball carrier. I need to remember Frenzy can be used to make gaps in weak screens.
Turn 2: Trying to pressure the quick score. Tried a very poorly thought out chain push on the Ulf, just ended up with a standing Ulf basing 2 important blitzers. Forced to do a 1D block to solve it.
Turn 3: On offence, under pressure, deep kick and blitz. Maybe I could have moved some of the screening players first, before starting to take blocks. 1D blitz on the Ulf before the pick up was risky, but was happy to put in re-roll.
Turn 5: Pushed on down the sideline, maybe I should have centralised as we had more players on pitch and would have avoided splitting the team. Harder to defend against a central group than a sideline push. I think I was trying to keep away from the Berserker and Ulf on the other sideline, but I suspect still better to centralise and unify team.
Turn 6: Various desperate stuff, including using ball carrier to assist block on Yeti. Couldn't see a much better plan though.”
