“After a 10 year hiatus the largely undistinguished coach Kinks makes a return to WIL. Known any for his Dwarf bashing reputation how will he fair against a much more acrobatic team?
Winning the toss, the Nurgle opt to see what the Wood Elves can do, assuming it will be impossible to stop them scoring, best to leave them too it and beat the spirit out of them ready for the second half. The Elves proved to be somewhat amateur themselves, burning through there rerolls forcing them to end there stall and push for the TD line. Another costly slip however left a bemused looking pestigor in possession! With the Wood Elves numbers thinning and out of rerolls the Nurgle were able wait until the last minute to score, ensuring the Wood Elves would have little chance to recover consensus.
The second half and it looks like Nuffle may be swinging the other way, 2 Nurgle fall victim to a pitch invasion. The beast manages to take out a lineman, but falls over in the process, leaving large gaps in the Nurgle defence. There was some scuffling about in the Nurgle half, but somehow a Pestigor managed to break free with the ball and the Wardancer was left stunned. With the Wood Elves all pushed forward for they were wide open. The rest of the Nurgle pounded them hard whilst the Pestigor push for a 2nd, with little interference. This didn't ease Kink's mind about the danger of the Wardancer, so he instructed a Rotter to take care of him, promptly ending his career with Laurelorn Leviathans and join the ranks of Swipe Right.
With plenty of time on the clock for a third, but only able to field 6 players left the Wood Elves make a valiant effort, but Nuffle has no qualms in kicking them whilst they are down, their blizt failed, leaving them out off possession and wide open with the ball deeply in their half. Although the Nurgle were able to seize the opportunity their ball skills let them down, denying them a third TD.
Thanks for the game Medon. You took the dicing very well. I'm almost sorry about the Wardancer, I promise to take good care of him (can't promise my opponents will though)”
