This was going to be a big one. The Guild of Deadly Devices with Dirty Player Chainsaws and HMP Bombers were surely going to go big on 'Stomps' and 'Objects in flight' scoring opportunities. It had all the hallmarks of a S.N.O.T. System showstopper! A game for the ages!
The Lumpies on the sidelines knew they needed to get stuck in and five volunteers joined the L.A.D.S. ranks alongside Ripper and the Splatta Wagon. Lump an' da Snots needed to hit the ground running to sneak a win. A narrow 7 score headstart would have to do for now.

Kick Off
L.A.D.S. 21-14 Guild of Deadly Devices
The game started positively with a short kick from L.A.D.S. quickly marked by Ripper and the Orca-Cola Roller but it wasn't to last. The Snotlings were decimated by the midpoint of the half, 8 eventually depitched included both Trolls, a Pump Wagon and 3 more positionals. It was very much an off day for L.A.D.S. and sheer weight of numbers allowed the Guild to eventually secure the ball and carry it home. Of course not before, in keeping with the shambolic performance so far, the Splatta Wagon failed a high strength tackle break to mark up the escaping Stalker.
At half time the gap had been reduced right down to 6 points and L.A.D.S. could count themselves very lucky that the S and O hadn't made things worse.

Half Time
L.A.D.S. 21-15 Guild of Deadly Devices
Cometh the hour, cometh the fans. They often say the fans are the 12th man/elf/dwarf/entity for many teams. In this case they were the 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th & 21st, and wow did they turn it round for the L.A.D.S.. It was like a different team with these five on the field desperate to get their name in lights.
The core of the team continued to fail to impress failing 3 more blocks maintaining a 20%+ failed block rate but our new heroes knew what do do. Noone knows their actual names but no.19 and no.20 took matters into their own hands fouling off two Guildmembers. First equalising, then reversing the on-pitch score differential.
Skip (resplendent on his new Skip X Orcidas Ultraboost Ag+ Gold stilts) was able to run in a now customary TD to increase the score further. Even that didn't come without trouble, Skip's defensive screen bombed away leaving him flattened by a skeleton. Fortunately for him (and L.A.D.S.) he was able to recover the ball and a route through to the endzone was cleared.
That's how it finished, a resurgent comeback by L.A.D.S. literally led by those loyal, wonderful fans!
S.N.O.T. Sports Management would finally like to take a moment to refute a scurrilous rumour surrounding this match. The perception of deliberate underperformance by certain members of the L.A.D.S., and the fact that no Lybaras secret weapons were dismissed from the game despite 8 red card offences, is in no way linked to a CIBBL Officials sponsored conspiracy. This hypothetical conspiracy concocted between Lump an' da Snots and CIBBL management to increase the perception competition within CIBBL Y8 Cloth Division. Under no circumstances would Lump an' da Snots be willing to offer even the slightest opportunity to the villainous Stirpoint Butchers to claim a title.
