The Grimoire Marauders were in town from the Border Princes for the next match. At least that is what Lump was told when instructed to get the team ready. What Lump heard was boring princes and immediately switched off. With 17 wins in 16 games, and having completed the elusive full S.N.O.T. score last match, what was left to achieve this Winter?

Kick Off
L.A.D.S. 16-11 Grimoire Marauders
Given Lump forgot the tell the team about the game, it went pretty much as expected. Clart spent most of it gazing off into the distance, Lobz threw more bombs backwards than forwards and the Cabalvision Sports Wagon crew spent more time squabbling than doing anything constructive.
Not for the first time, it came down to Skip snatching away the ball, gracefully dancing through a crowd and sprinting for the line to open the scoring. Sadly this wasn't before some gratuitous knife crime thinned out the L.A.D.S. numbers leaving them rather short for the second half.
S.N.O.T. Sports Management would like to remind all of the CIBBL universe of our anti-blade campaign "Choose Life. Drop the Knife!"

Half Time
L.A.D.S. 17-11 Grimoire Marauders
With Clart still gazing off vacantly, L.A.D.S. took the field in the second half heavily out numbered and outgunned (or in this specific case out-knived). This certainly wasn't helped by Lump slipping over whilst blocking on the very first team action of the half.
Stabbings continued and the Marauders easily strolled over for their opening score at the midpoint of the half. A malaise had really set in for Lump an' da Snots. Lugz ever reliable 'sure' hands fumbling the ball out of play. Not only denying Skip and Lump the chance to bring out the much loved "Aerosnot" special, but also leaving the ball at the feet of a particularly ugly Ogre.
Again the Marauders surged forward with the ball and looked odds-on for a second score until Skip, Jimb and a particularly suicidal Hopz combined to shove the ball off the pitch. Score prevented Lug scooped up the ball and did whatever any self-respecting Snotling would do - ran away and hid in the corner.
That was it! A narrow 17-12 win for L.A.D.S. and certainly not one that will go down in history. Most notable was Clart taking home the MVP award for services to confusion.
