Our heaviest defeat so far...

We knew that this Empire Championship will be very hard for us. What can Halfling do against all this Guard - Mighty Blow Teams...
Moreover our #2 Drychaen was injured and he could not play, so we hired again Deeproot to replace him. Deeproot did a very good game injuring 3 opponents, but the opponents somehow neutralised him by marking him all time with sacrificial players.

Our Throw Team Mate plays unfortunately never worked, neither the bomb plays from Cody, but the latter was part of our inexperience with this aspect. We were extremely unlucky with the ball scatters. All were favorable to our opponents, . Not that would have changed a lot, but we would have probably manage to avoid the 4-0 defeat. We did a sack, that it was great, but somehow despite all our tries they were picking the ball and dodge away out without noticing our tackle zones.

The surprising fact is that we outblocked (ok, barely) our opponents (42 to 40). Arguably, this was because our opponents were not afraid to come in contact with us and I was surprised from the amount of 2d blocks that my St2 team managed to do against a Guard ST3 team. We managed also to hit them a lot, but without knocking them out or injuring as much as we wanted.

Probably, the team is on her lowest, but this means we can only look up. We will probably not avoid the last place this year, which is fair enough, since last year we overperformed greatly (sincerely, a dodge away from the 3rd place, Halfllings fans will say this story for a century to come!), but we will try to upset someone with a lucky draw or something.”
