If you are following the saga of the Swan Riders you know how badly we needed a positive result. After two heavy defeats with 0-3 and 0-4 here comes a win! And what a win!

First of all, Deeproot took this game singlehandedly with 4 Cas in 6 Blocks! With such otherwordly perfomances there are not so many things that someone can do. Take into account that our throw team mate play worked brilliantly (our Treemen even took SPP for that!). We can say that Nuffle conspired with us to give us the game!

First Halftime we were defending. Rd 4 we manage to sack the opponent ball carrier, but in the next round opponents catched the free ball and fouled to injury the Star Billy Buster Goatblitz. Despite that we found the psychic strength to make another sack, but with our resources depleted, stacking removals nothing could stop a turn 7 touchdown.

But the referee gave us some much more time for our drive in the first halftime: enough for our thrower Shado to pick the ball, pass to Catcher Maddox, who was thrown forward by Drychaen for the equalizer! Moreover, Deeproot was decimating our opponents and we entered to the second halftime with the ball in our hands and with superior numbers!!

The second halftime started with another pass-catch by the duo Shado - Maddox and a very slow drive spearheaded by our trees. Three removals in the turn 9 for the Swan Riders facilitated our advance and despite the efforts of the Hammers to balance the numbers by picking and removing Halflings outside the cage, Swan Riders scored again on Turn 13.

A failed Hammer pick up gave us the chance to create a defense and put a control zone on the ball. Hammers regained possesion and tried their best to make a fast Touchdown, but the ball carrier tripped while was going for it.

First touchdowns and first win for the Swan Riders. It is sad that the league will not count the achievements of Deeproot in the official statistics and for the prizes. With 7 Cas in two games is the most brutal player of the Empire right now.

Psychologically, this win is fundamental. There were many fears that we were going for our first winless and scoreless tournament in the CIBBL, but with the today result we managed to avoid it. Again our aim is to avoid last place, there are not many hopes even more for the prestigious 4th place. Last positive new for today: Drychaen with one succesfull throw team mate became our first Super Star!”
