“A calamitous first half for the Tucks, with the elfs beginning with a Blitz and pressing the flings hard. The Tucks thought they had just about escaped, and just needed a dodge and a few GFIs to score. However the elfs had other ideas with a heroic last-ditch tackle, and then reversed the pitch with some elf magic to score.

Things were not looking good for the Tucks, but this seemed to kick them into gear. Redroot suddenly smashed three elfs into the turf, and the others dealt out more hurt with gang blocks and fouls. The elf blitzer got exposed and three halflings caught up with him on the right wing - Nedly Goodfellow stripping the ball, recovering and then dodging a couple of elfs to equalise. The elfs finished with just two on the pitch and their one remaining blitzer dancing around the backfield, but the halflings could not quite put him down in time for a winner. A good game, very much of two halfs!”
