Hot dice early on kept removing sauruses, but the skinks were too good at holding me up to make progress and so the first half was mostly damage limitation to avoid giving up the ball - and a little bit more luck by the Salamanders and I would have been 1-0 at the half.

But dilute Bloodweiser and a newly niggled skink kept the numerical advantage on our side, and I tried to be careful not to overcommit early on and get run past. Could still have gone very, very wrong with an opening for a skink to run the ball deep in our backfield, but instead I got lucky, got the ball and then slogged it up the pitch. Still had to GFI for the score so the last turn was as interesting as it gets for these dusty desert dwellers.
