S40, W1 Fluff: The Michigan State University Spartans played its first match ever against the Geneva Golden Tornadoes. MSU played the game notably dirty as they broke the 4 fouls per game rule with 10 and received a warning from the NCAA; if they will repeat this style of unsportsmanlike play they will be sanctioned. The Spartans scored an early defensive touchdown, which gave room for the Golden Tornadoes to retaliate with a stunning touchdown pass prior to the end of the first half. The Spartans' success was in large part due to their special teams and grotesque fouling. The Spartans received the ball in the second half scoring in the final minute (turn 8) Geneva did not have a great opportunity to one turn touchdown, due to another fortuitous kickoff for Michigan State. Hopefully, Gridironman can instill the requisite focus and ethics to the standards befitting a student athlete prior to the next match against the Austin College Kangaroo Rats because they may have the beginnings of a rivalry with the Geneva Golden Tornadoes in the future. The Michigan State University Spartans won through ball control and a hyper aggressive defense that played fairly well.

Synopsis: Although my opponent did not have frenzy I opted a relatively risky gridlock defense in which the opponent would need to dodge three times to get a wide receiver through. The risk involves the chance that the blitzers on the end could be in danger of being surfed into the crowd. Ultimately, forcing the elves to make engagements to breakthrough felt like the right call. My offense involved ball control heavily and was focused on unit removal--to an illegal extent because I was only allowed 4 fouls per game and fouled 10 times. I side caged and 5 pip caged (like on dice). Despite facing elves (2+ dodge) I wanted to touch bases as often as possible, I easily controlled the ReRoll advantage throughout the game and my Untrained Troll was exceptionally aware of his surroundings. I rarely performed dodge outs or go for its; I won through stable play.
