Game 28 and rumour was the mysterious Zoats would arrive at the Lump-Zum Arena. Legend talked on hulking silent brutes, swift of pace but build to crush not carry. The Arena was packed what was it that would emerge from the opponent's tunnel.....what they met was both what they imagined and simultaneously not what they expected.
So what were these Zoats? A walking contradiction is what!
Skilled fighters, constantly throwing L.A.D.S. to the ground, but pillow fisted barely registering an casualty.
Docile near silent beast, but somehow also able to almost entrance those in the vicinity causing them to self-inflict injuries.
Hulking muscular brutes near impossible to knock down, yet able to hop, dodge and pirouette away from any opponent despite their frame. Perhaps that was the secret, just pretend your opponent isn't there and then they can't trip you up.
That summed up the half really. Zoats collected the ball, perpetually knocking down L.A.D.S., albeit only gently enough to allow the Snots & Trolls to get some brief shuteye. Eventually the Mystics hopped, danced and elfed their way into the endzone for a TD. That score balancing the L.A.D.S. opener when Hak stomped Tuzzoca off the pitch after seemingly the only time a Zoat hit the deck.
There was of course, still time for the now legendary AeroSnot(tm). Lump tossing Skip deep down field with the ball, then everyone's favourite Stilty Runna squirming through the zoats for a touchdown.

Half Time L.A.D.S. 23 - 12 Crystal Mere Mystics
The second half was more of the same. L.A.D.S. unable to knock down anyone but themselves, and players quickly being lulled to sleep by the pillow-punching Zoats. Skip was eventually able to make a dash for the line, but of course despite a protective screen and Zoats marked up, they were able to dance away and take him down. The ball was on the ground and a deflection meant an implausible Zoat catch amongst a crowd of Snots almost turned to game (albeit it would take something for the Mystics recover from an 11 point deficit).
The few remaining Snots shut down the running lanes and a desperate Zoat pass fell short ending the game with the second half scoreless.
Another decent 11 point win for Lump an' da Snots, but my word those Zoats........never have we seen such a beautiful package of grace, athleticism and strength.
