“Pre-game

Game 30 was to be an event. A Landmark for the team and a chance to mark the passing of Skip. There would be no mourning, but a celebration.

A statue of Skip was unveiled alongside the player's entrance at the Lump-Zum ArenA. Ripper gave a beautiful, and rousing, tribute and L.A.D.S. prepared themselves to honour their fallen companion on the field.

Fittingly the game was to be against 'friends of the club' the Black Water Angling Society. As converts to the S.N.O.T. system by bringing their own Bombardier, it was wonderful to be able to celebrate the life of Skip in such style. Surely this was to be glorious momentous match for the ages!

Or perhaps not! Absolutely nothing of interest happened in the first half. Kai narrowly preventing a Gnome touchdown with a Diving Tackle was about it.......

Or perhaps! Within 2 turns the Trialist Snotling bomber had opened the scoring with 2 scores, albeit one assist by a clumsy Gnome and the other him blowing up himself.....but they all count!. Meanwhile Kai, having quietly put a Gnomish Machine to sleep in the first half, stomped his way to a score. Kellin Wobblehide the unfortunate recipient.

With Gnomes starting to look thin on the ground, the Fasta Wagon wisely removed the Gnome bombing threat, and the game started to look beyond the Anglers. Lugz was able to dash over for a TD at the end of the game.

This was L.A.D.S. second ever full S.N.O.T. scoring match, and with 17 players left in the injury boxes at the end of the game, would be one to remember. This was a game befitting of Skip!
