Ottawa chose for UCon to receive; an early wizard popped the ball, and then a crazy scrum ensued. Ottawa's Guard superiority eventually won out, and .. Max Garrar caught the ball. He fled to the corner, and UCon had no serious chance to get it back.

But, in the dying seconds of the first half, before Ottawa scored, UCon knocked out the infamous Dan Daluca. Who stayed asleep.

Ottawa then immediately failed a pickup, and UCon carefully moved forward. However, Lindsey Vonn showed why she is called 'Downhill' - she shattered the wraith Malik, and then followed that up by seriously injuring a flesh golem! Despite the regen, this put UCon on the backfoot. While they continually threatened the ball, they could never get a good shot on the ball, until turn 7, when Ottawa did one block too many on a sidestepping ghoul, who managed to push the ball into a place it could be taken down. Then a flesh golem caught it. So Ottawa took him down. And then the werewolf who took down the Ottawa ghoul caught it! So Ottawa took HIM down, only for a wight to catch it!

Hot potato, but in the end, Ottawa simply had too many players, and UCon was unable to retrieve the ball.
